The Outdoor Learning Center offers interactive sessions within Lake Metigoshe State Park. The program pairs groups with a knowledgeable instructor, who leads a 1 to 2 hour lesson on topics ranging from botany to survival skills.

Bottineau is home to Tommy the Turtle: a 26-foot-tall, must-see statue of the world’s largest turtle riding the world’s largest snowmobile. You can find him in Tommy Turtle Park, a family-friendly location that offers recreational courts, restroom & bathhouse facilities, picnic areas, and of course – excellent photo opportunities.
